CBI has carried out a major raid operation in Jammu and Kashmir. CBI has raided 37 locations in 6 districts of J&K in connection with the investigation of Financial Accounts Assistant (FAA) paper leak. The news of arrest of anyone in the CBI raid has not come to the fore so far. At present, the investigation of CBE is going on. Last year, this exam was conducted by the Finance Department in the first week of March i.e. on March 6. Its results came on 21 April. Irregularities were found after the results of the examination were out.

A case was registered against 20 accused including the then Member of Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) (JKAS), the then Medical Officer of BSF Frontier Headquarters, Paloura, private individuals, private company and unknown others. The written exam for the recruitment was conducted by JKSSB on March 6, 2022. According to the FIR, "There were allegations regarding malpractices in the examination and the Government of Jammu and Kashmir constituted an inquiry committee to probe the same. The report of the committee alleged conspiracy between officials of JKSSB, Bengaluru-based private company, beneficiary candidates and others." exposed, which led to gross irregularities in the conduct of the examination." The CBI came to know about the leak of question papers to selected high profile candidates during the course of investigation. The CBI said that violations of rules and forgery etc. were also found in the JKSSB entrusting the task of setting the question paper to a private company in Bengaluru.
