New Delhi: India's Bhavina BenPatel has stormed into the quarter-finals of the Class 4 Women's Table Tennis event of the Tokyo Paralympic Games 2020. She defeated Oliveira of Brazil 12-10, 13-11 and 11-6. According to the information reached here, Bhavina will play her quarter-final match in the afternoon at 3.50 pm against Borislava Peric Rankovic of Serbia.
In the first match Bhavina Ben Patel lost to Zhou Ying 0-3( 3-11, 9-11, 2-11) but in the second match she defeated Megan Shackleton of Great Britain 3-1(11-7, 9-11, 17-15, 13-11).
India's Sakina Khatun finished 6th in Women's 50 Kg Powerlifting. She successfully lifted 90 kg in first attempt but could not better it. Egypt's Ahmed Rehab won the Gold with a Paralympic record of 120 Kg.
