This journey from Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu to Kashmir is currently passing through Haryana. When asked about this, Gandhi said that he had learned a lot during this journey. He said, “What is in the heart of the country, he got to hear directly from the people. The yatra has received very good response in Haryana. This response is laced with energy and enthusiasm.
Attacking the critics of the yatra, Gandhi said that when it started “people had said that the response it got in Kerala would not be the same in Karnataka, which is ruled by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP); But we got a better response there (Karnataka) than that (Kerala). Then when the yatra reached Maharashtra, people said that the kind of enthusiasm that was seen in South India would not be seen in this western state. When we reached Maharashtra, the response was even better from the south. Rahul Gandhi said, “Then it was said that when the yatra will pass through Hindi-speaking areas, people will not get good response, but Madhya Pradesh got a better atmosphere than before. When we reached Haryana, we were told that it is a BJP-ruled state, but the response received here was excellent. As we are growing, people's support is increasing.
