Bengal teacher recruitment scam: ED arrests West Bengal minister Partha Chatterjee
The Trinamool leader was questioned overnight after the cash was recovered. It is learned that Partha Chatterjee did not cooperate with the investigators during the interrogation, following which he was arrested.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Saturday arrested West Bengal minister Partha Chatterjee in a money laundering case related to the alleged teacher recruitment scam in the state. The arrest comes a day after Rs 20 crore was recovered from a close aide of the minister.

At present, Industries and Commerce Minister Partha Chatterjee was looking after the education ministry when the alleged scam happened. The Enforcement Directorate on Friday recovered Rs 20 crore in cash from the house of an aide of Partha Chatterjee. "The said amount is suspected to be income from the alleged SSC scam," the probe agency said in a statement.
