Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee to meet PM Modi in Delhi

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi today. In this meeting, apart from various issues of development of the state, Mamta can discuss the matter of increasing the jurisdiction of BSF and violence in Tripura. Mamta has alleged that Biplab Deb's government in Tripura is violating the directions of the Supreme Court.

Earlier on Tuesday, the TMC's petition was dismissed in the Supreme Court, which sought a stay on the civic polls to be held in Tripura. TMC had alleged that the law and order situation in the state is not correct, so local body elections should be banned here. However, the court refused to postpone the election. The court said that postponing elections is the last step in democracy and the court is against it. If we do this then a wrong tradition will be started.

After this meeting with PM Modi, Mamta Banerjee said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should call an all-party meeting regarding the Pegasus issue. He said that the matter should be investigated under the supervision of the Supreme Court. Let us tell you that Mamta Banerjee has been an attacker on the central government from the beginning regarding the Pegasus espionage case. Mamta Banerjee has constituted a commission under the leadership of retired Supreme Court judge MB Lokur and Kolkata High Court retired judge Jyotirmoyee Bhattacharjee, who in the past has received calls from many important person.
