The Modi government has given a big gift to petroleum companies and railway employees before Diwali. Giving information about the decisions taken in the meeting held on Wednesday, Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur said that the cabinet has compensated the loss caused by the public sector petroleum companies during the last two years due to the sale of LPG at a price below the cost of LPG. 22,000 crore for a grant of Rs. 22,000.

Indian Railways has registered a growth of 92 percent in passenger revenue in the first half of the current financial year. According to official data, the Railways has earned Rs 33,476 crore during April 1 to October 8, 2022, which is 92 percent more than Rs 17,394 crore earned during the same period in the year 2021.
Between April 1 and October 8 this year, 42.89 crore people traveled in reserved categories of Railways, compared to 34.56 crore in the corresponding period last year, which is about 24 percent more. In terms of revenue, between April 1 and October 8 this year, Rs 26 thousand 961 crore was earned from passengers, which is about 65 percent more than Rs 16 thousand 307 crore earned during the same period last year.
Similarly, 268.56 crore people traveled in the unreserved category between April 1 and October 8 this year, which is 197 percent more than 90.57 crore people who traveled in the same period last year. In terms of revenue, between April 1 and October 8 this year, the Railways earned Rs 6515 crore. This amount is more than 500 per cent as compared to Rs 1086 crore earned in the corresponding period of last year.
