Beating the Retreat Event: IIT-Delhi based start-up will light up the sky with 1000 Drones
Beating the Retreat Ceremony is going to be a spectacular event this year. For the first time, a start-up - Botlab Dynamics Private Limited - supported by the Technology Development Board, under DST and incubated at the Indian Institute of Technology, will participate in the event and light up the sky with 1000 drones.

The ceremony will be held on January 29 and preparations are in full swing for it. Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Science & Technology Dr Jitendra Singh said that India will become the 4th country in the world after China, Russia & UK to conduct a show on such a large scale.
Dr Singh said, “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Drone Technology has come a long way from delivering vaccines to difficult areas to lighting up the Rajpath during Beating the Retreat Ceremony.”
“Botlab in association with Ministry of Defence has conceptualized the novel ‘DRONE SHOW’ to commemorate the 75th year of Independence. The drone show will be 10 minutes long in duration, and will showcase government achievements @75 through many creative formations in the dark sky,” he added.
Informing about the event, the Ministry of Science & Technology said, “The project has been developed indigenously within the country, developing all the necessary components, including both hardwares and softwares such as the flight controller (brain of the drone); precision GPS; motor controller; Ground Control Station (GCS) algorithms etc.”
