Banks Closed for Dussehra and Durga Puja: complete List of October 2024 Bank Holidays

Dussehra and Durga Puja bank holidays: Durga Puja is a very important and special occasion all over West Bengal. It is more than just religious observance, it is deeply intertwined with the culture of West Bengal.

Durga Puja observance signifies the victory of good over evil. As it is a national-level event, RBI has already announced Dussehra and Durga Puja bank holidays.

The celebration of Durga Puja starts with Shashthi and ends with Vijayadashami and goes on for 5 days from October 8, 2024, to October 13. This big occasion led to banks closed October 2024 for most of the day.

As per the RBI Dussehra bank holidays October 2024 list, private and public sector banks in West Bengal are closed on October 10 (Maha Saptami), October 11 (Durga Ashtami), October 12 (Mahanavami) followed by Sunday.

The Durga Puja 2024 bank closures will remain for four consecutive days. However, customers will be able to use services such as web banking, UPI, ATMs, and mobile apps.

• October 14: Durga Puja (Dasin) and Dussehra in Gangtok
• October 16: Laxmi Puja (Agartala, Kolkata)
• October 17: Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti
• October 20: Weekly holiday (Sunday)
• October 26: Accession Day (Jammu and Kashmir) and Fourth Saturday
• October 27: Weekly holiday (Sunday)
• October 31: Diwali (Deepavali)/Kali Puja/Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's Birthday/Naraka Chaturdashi
