Ayatollah Khamenei’s Response to Israel’s Attack on Iran: A Balanced View

Ayatollah Khamenei Israel attack: On Sunday, Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali talked about Israel's attack saying that "should not be exaggerated nor downplayed."
Ayatollah Ali remarks spoke against Israel's attack on his country but didn’t call for retaliation. He said, “The evil actions of the Israeli regime two nights ago should neither be exaggerated nor downplayed. The miscalculations of the Israeli regime must be disrupted. It is essential to make them understand the strength, will, and initiative of the Iranian nation and its youth.”
Iran's supreme leader signifies that Iran is seriously thinking about its response to the attack. Furthermore, Iran's military has said that a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip or Lebanon is more significant than any retaliation attack on Israel in response.

Khamenei further added, "it is up to the authorities to determine how to convey the power and will of the Iranian people to the Israeli regime and to take actions that serve the interests of this nation and country.”
On October 26, Israel launched an air attack on Iranian military sites in response to Tehran’s missile attack on October 1. This attack was also in response to the murder of two Revolutionary Guards commanders and Iran-backed militant leaders.
