There is news of the death of 3 soldiers in an avalanche in Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir. According to the information, three soldiers were hit by an avalanche near the Line of Control in Machil sector of Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir, due to which they died. Officials said that the bodies have been recovered.
An avalanche hit a patrolling party in Machhal sector. After this the search and rescue operation was carried out. Two soldiers trapped in the snow were rescued and taken to the military hospital in Kupwara. Another soldier who was part of the patrolling party developed hypothermia and was also taken to the hospital. These three soldiers could not be saved. He sacrificed himself while performing his duty towards the country.
