Auto driver dies due to assault in Ghaziabad, FIR against 4 policemen

After the road accident, the auto driver, who was brought to Kanavani police post of Indirapuram Kotwali on Sunday night, died due to sudden health deterioration after going home. Relatives protested in front of Shanti Gopal Hospital for about eight and a half hours on Monday, alleging that he died due to police beating. During this, CISF road jammed twice. The police officers pacified the people by assuring them of appropriate action and compensation. On the basis of Tahrir, a report of culpable homicide was lodged late night against Kanawani police post in-charge sub-inspector Amit Kumar, constable Ravindra and two unknown constables.

This matter has been tweeted from the Twitter handle of the Samajwadi Party. It was written in it that the party would provide financial assistance of five lakh rupees to the family of the deceased. The Chief Minister should send the accused policemen to jail. Samajwadi Party's National President and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has tweeted about this incident. Describing the incident as extremely shameful, he has demanded a government job and compensation of one crore rupees to the wife of the deceased.

Originally, 28-year-old Dharmapal of Nagla Bansgaon police station Amapur district Kasganj lived on rent here in Kanavani. He used to earn his living by driving an auto. His cousin Murari told that on Sunday night around 10 pm, Dharampal was taking an auto. His auto collided with a bicycle on Kanavani Pushta. On information, the police reached Shanti Gopal Hospital with brother and cycle rider Jagatram of Chijarsi. He also reached the hospital.

The policemen kept Rs 3510 and the auto from him. He reached home with his brother. After about two hours, the brother's health worsened. At around six in the morning, he took him to Avantika Hospital, where the doctors refused to admit him saying the situation was serious. He took him to Shanti Gopal Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
