Australia: Shubham Garg, a PhD student hailing from Agra, stabbed 11 times in Sydney
Shubham Garg, who was attacked in Sydney's Lane Cove by a 27-year-old male, didn't know the assailant. Shubham was stabbed 11 times. Racial Discrimination is the reason suspected behind the attack.

Shubham Garg, a resident of the Kiravali town of Agra, was attacked with a knife in Australia on the 6th of October. Garg was in Australia to undergo his Ph. studies. As per the local Police, 11 blows were made to many parts of the body including Shubham's jaw, and stomach. The family said, "Shubham's condition remains critical. Today, a panel of doctors in Australia has performed the third operation of Shubham. Due to the knife, there was a deep wound in his intestines of which 4 inches of intestines had to be removed. We are constantly talking to the doctors."
The victim's brother has been granted a visa. Shubham's father demands full security for both Shubham & his brother. The main accused has been arrested & the MEA is in touch with local authorities.
Navneet Singh Chahal, DM Agra said, "We have contacted his(Shubham) father & also reached out to officials in Sydney Embassy. Shubham's younger brother has applied for VISA. We hope his family will be able to meet him in Sydney soon. The government of India and Australia are providing support to the family members. Shubham has already undergone two operations so far and we hope that he will recover soon. Proper medical treatment is being provided to him
