Astral Q4 Results: Pipe Maker Declares ₹2.25 Dividend Despite 12% Profit Drop

Astral Q4 Results: Astral Ltd, a business that makes PVC pipes and other plastic items, said on May 17 that its net profit for the quarter ending March 31, 2024, dropped 11.7% year-over-year (YoY). It was ₹181.6 crore.
Astral made a net profit of ₹206 crore in the same quarter, the company said in a report with the government. During the same time period last fiscal year, the company's operating income rose by 8% to ₹1,625 crore from ₹1,506.2 crore.
EBITDA fell 5.7% to ₹291.4 crore in the fourth quarter of this fiscal year, down from ₹309 crore in the same quarter last year.
After interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization, the EBITDA margin was 17.9%, which is less than the 20.5% in FY23.

As of March 31, 2024, there were s609.5 crores in cash and cash equivalents in the bank accounts. Prices of CPVC and PVC products did not change during the quarter, resulting in higher margins.
In FY25, there will be more than 1,000 shops and dealers selling bathware.
As part of the final payment, the board wants to make a payment of $2.25 for every share worth $1 during the year ending March 31, 2024. This must be agreed upon by all members at the next annual general meeting.
Astral Ltd shares closed the day at 2,304.30 on the BSE, up 32 points, or 1.41%.
