Assam HSLC Result 2021 - Assam Class X Boys Out Shine Girls, A whopping 30% Rise in Pass Percentage

New Delhi: The long wait is over for Assam’s class X students. On Friday, for the first time in history, students got Marks without appearing in the board exam. The result has been prepared by taking into consideration the marks of class 9 and class 10 internals.
The Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) has announced the result for class X students. A whopping 30 percent upsurge was recorded in the results.
The pass percentage is over 93% this year from less than 65% in 2020. Students can check their results on the official website of SEBA www.sebaonline.org, result is also available on the mobile app – SEBA Result 2021.
The HS final year (Class 12) result will be declared on July 31. Students can check their results at ahsec.nic.in or resultassam.nic.in.
According to SEBA, Since results have been prepared based on data provided by the School Evaluation Committees as well as District Level Scrutiny Committees, there will not be any provision for recounting, re-evaluation of marks and providing of photocopies of answer scripts.
In the HSLC results, a total of 3,97,132 students passed out of 4,26,553 candidates, registering a pass percentage of 93.10%. The boys outshine with 93.34%, while 92.90 % of the girls passed the HSLC exams.
A total of 88,521 students passed in the first division, 1,60,298 in the second division and 1,48,313 in the third division in this year’s HSLC examination. A total of 10,348 students got distinction (85% and above) and 20,092 secured star marks (75% and above) in the HSLC.
Those who will be dissatisfied with the awarded marks will be able to appear for exams by September 15.
Likewise Assam High Madrassa (AHM) examination 2021 results were also declared on Friday morning. There was a phenomenal rise in the pass percentage in the AHM examination as well, with a near 30 percent rise in pass percentage. From 63.67 last year's 63.67, the pass percentage in the AHM examination has gone up to 93.18 percent.
A total of 1,759 students passed in the first division, 5,586 in the second division and 4,093 in the third division in AHM results.
Lakhs of students registered to appear for the board exam this year, but the board exams were canceled because of the rapid rise in COVID-19 cases in Assam. This examination is conducted every year by the Board of Secondary Education, Assam and the result is also released by the board itself. This year this written examination was to be conducted from 11th May to 1st June 2021. All the board exams were canceled due to COVID-19. Result is based on a special evaluation criterion.
The class X students who are unsatisfied with the marks awarded to them as per the special evaluation method will be allowed to appear in the exam physically. However, such students will have to sit for the theory portion of all six papers. For the physical exam, students will have to register through their respective school authorities between August 5 to August 12.
The students have to download the digital mark sheet through websites or mobile apps and the hard copies of the mark sheets will be distributed later.
A new mark sheet will be provided to such students based on the marks scored in the physical examination and the earlier mark sheet based on an alternative evaluation method will be considered void.
According to the special evaluation criteria, for students of class 12 who also had practical exams, 50 percent of the total marks would be provided based on the best of three subjects of class 10, 30 percent from class 12 practicals, 10 percent based on internal assessment and attendance in class 11, and class 12. The remaining 10 percent will be calculated based on the overall marks.
Class 12 students of Arts and Commerce (who do not have practicals), will get 50 percent of their marks from the best of three subjects in class 10, 40 percent based on internal assessment in class 11 and class 12, and an additional 10 percent to be marked by AHSEC. Students of class 10 will be awarded 40 percent of their marks based on their performance in class 9, 40 percent based on their performance in class 10 and 20 percent from school-based internal assessments
