Assam Class 10, 12 Board Exams Postponed Due To COVID-19 Cases
Class 10 practical exams have already been held on March 4 and 5 at multiple examination centres across the state.

As the rising in COVID-19 cases across the state, Assam government has decided that Classes 10 and 12 board examinations have been postponed until further orders. Both Class 10 (HSCL) and Class 12 (HS) board examinations were scheduled to begin on May 11.
In view of the prevailing situation of Covid-19 in the state of Assam, it has been decided to postpone the HSLC/AHM Examination 2021, scheduled to be held from 11th May 2021," reads a notification issued by Suranjana Senapati, Secretary, Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA).
"The revised schedule of the said examination shall be announced shortly after consultation with the state health department," it added.
The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) has also ordered the postponement of the Class 12 boards exam. “Due to prevailing COVID-19 situation, the Higher Secondary final examinations 2021 scheduled to be held from 11 May, 2021, has been postponed until further order,” AHSEC's statement issued on Tuesday said.

Assam Higher Education Council (AHSEC) had earlier announced the postponement of the HS First year examination that was slated to begin on May 4 citing the pandemic situation.
“In view of the COVID-19 situation, the HS First year examination, 2021 has been postponed until further orders. It is to inform you that the council has made all preparation for both the examinations,” reads the official notification. Students should prepare at their homes and prepare themselves for the future examination and should stay at home and stay safe.
