Iran–Israel Conflict Escalates: Israel on Tuesday (June 17, 2025) appeared to be expanding its air campaign on Tehran, five days after its surprise attack on Iran’s military and nuclear programme, as U.S. President Donald Trump posted an ominous message warning residents of the city to evacuate. Meanwhile, the Indian Embassy in Iran has urged “all” Indian nationals and People of Indian Origin who are using "own” vehicles to leave the city for a safer location outside.
As the military conflict between Iran and Israel dramatically escalated, the Embassy of India in Iran has issued several helpline numbers and created a Telegram Link for communications with Indian nationals in the West Asian country. Helplines have also been issued in Israel, where many deaths were attributed to Iran's missiles.
The Indian Embassy said in a recent post that the Telegram link is exclusively for Indian nationals in Iran. It said Indians in distress can seek help using the link.
