As Chilly Winters Dominate, Doctors Advise Delhiites To Be Extra Vigilant
Minimum temperature drops to 4.4 degree Celsius in Delhi, cold wave likely over next three days

Alert is on in Delhi, Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, and Bihar due to the cold waves. School timings have been changed in Madhya Pradesh, and school holidays have been done in Chhattisgarh. Now to avoid cold waves, one cannot sit in the room with a heater, or blower all day, as unprecedented reasons call for going out. But doctors advise not to take it lightly, as even a little carelessness in this season can lead to death.
According to the Indian Meteorological Department, when the minimum temperature in North India falls below 4.5 degrees Celsius and the overall temperature is 10 degrees or less, then this condition is called cold wave or cold wave.
Due to cold winds coming from the Himalayas and La Nina, North India is currently in the grip of cold wave. La Nina refers to changes in the sea surface temperature of the Pacific Ocean. Due to La Nina, there is a disturbance in the Pacific Ocean and the cold water of the sea comes to the surface. For this reason, the cold will increase in the country from December 2022 to February 2023.
It is very important to take the right diet to avoid cold wave. Drink tea made from basil, clove, ginger and black pepper. Green tea, lemon tea, black tea and soup can also be taken. One is advised to drink things rich in Vitamin C like orange, lemon, and gooseberry juice. Doctors also advise eating Chyawanprash with turmeric milk to strengthen immunity.
