Arya Babbar Jokes ‘Mere Kutte Ki Bhi 2 Girlfriends Hai’ on Prateik, Raj Babbar’s Multiple Marriages

Arya Babbar Jokes: Prateik Babbar married Priya Banerjee, his longtime girlfriend, in a close-knit ceremony held at his late mother Smita Patil's house in Bandra. However, Arya Babbar, Prateik's half-brother, told the press that the Babbar family was uninvited to the wedding. Arya now ridicules Prateik's second wedding in his recent comedy show.

On February 14, Arya Babbar uploaded a link to his new comedy gig on YouTube. He revealed that his family was very glad that Prateik was marrying the beautiful and talented actress, Priya Banerjee. However, he was saddened not to be invited. He said he gave his brother the benefit of the doubt to think that someone must have influenced Prateik's decision.

What Arya said

He then went on to say, "My mother is so upset and cranky that she calls me every morning, crying and saying, ‘What should I do now that I have learnt these Punjabi boliyan? Do one thing — you also get married for the second time.’" He added, "I agree my father married twice, my sister also married twice, and now my brother is getting married for the second time. Even my dog, Happy, has two girlfriends. So, I don’t mind getting married for the second time, but I’m too lazy to go through the complications of a divorce."

He also joked he would ask his father what to say to the media as to how he felt about not being invited to his brother's wedding, and added, "My father said, 'Tell them, mard toh shaadi karte rehte hai'".

For the unversed, Raj Babbar first married Nadira Babbar in 1975; together they have two children, Juhi Babbar and Arya Babbar. He later married Smita Patil in 1983, with whom he had their son Prateik Babbar, born in 1986. However, Smita died later that same year due to complications from childbirth. Prateik was earlier married to Sanya Sagar. The two were married in 2019, but the marriage did not last long, with a formal divorce being granted in 2023. He is now married to Baar Baar Dekho actress Priya Banerjee.

Prateik's upcoming film

Meanwhile, Prateik will be seen next in the film Sikandar. Directed by AR Murugadoss, the film has a cast that includes Salman Khan, Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, and Sathyaraj, with an expected theatrical release on Eid 2025.
