Arshi Khan Trolled For Having Afghanistan Roots, Says 'I Am An Indian Citizen'

With everything that's happening in Afghanistan, some people on the internet took the matter as an opportunity to troll others. Some people on the internet are now trolling former Bigg Boss contestant Arshi Khan. Arshi has roots in Afghanistan, but the actor says people misunderstand her for being a Pakistani citizen. Khan has opened about all the trolling and said that she's an Indian.
In an interview, Arshi Khan said she has a hard time when people target and troll her and question her citizenship. The confusion about her citizenship has affected her professional life. Khan says that these experiences make her sad, so she wants to clarify that she is an Indian in every way. She owns all the Indian government approved identity cards.
About having roots from Afghanistan, Arshi Khan told Times of India, "I'm an Afghani Pathan, and my family belongs to the Yusuf Zaheer Pathan ethnic group. My grandfather had migrated from Afghanistan and was a jailer in Bhopal. My roots are in Afghanistan, but I am an Indian citizen."
Earlier, Arshi Khan spoke to SpotboyE about the Taliban-Afghanistan situation. Khan told the entertainment portal that she is worried for her female citizens in Afghanistan after the Taliban rule comes into force. She said that all this is making her scream out of fear. The former Bigg Boss contestant said, "I am Afghani Pathan. And It scares me and gives me goosebumps. I'm worried about the female citizens of the county. I was born there and the thought, if I was one among them, is actually making me scream out of fear."
