Armies of India and Kazakhstan did 'Heliborne Operation', MI-17 helicopters joined

A joint military exercise is going on in Meghalaya between the armies of India and Kazakhstan. This exercise started in Umroi with the aim of strengthening cooperation and bilateral relations between the two countries. It will end on 28 December. Meanwhile, Mi-17 helicopters of the Indian Air Force carried out Heliborne Operations with Indian and Kazakhstan Army soldiers in the eastern sector on Saturday.
The Indian Army contingent in the sixth edition of Military Exercise 'KAZIND-22' was represented by a battalion of the Bihar Regiment consisting of a total of 90 personnel led by a Commander. The Kazakhstan Army was represented by an entire company in the joint military exercise. The exercise is a joint training between the two armies, which will give a boost to the bilateral relations between India and Kazakhstan.
The objective of the joint exercise is to neutralize potential threats of terrorism, planning and carrying out operations, sharing of weapons information as well as experience in shooting and counter-insurgency/counter-terrorism operations. It was also said that conducting the joint exercise will set the stage for defense cooperation and will reflect in the strong ties between the two countries.
