Arindam Sudan beats Aaryaveer Khoda in playoff to claim Category A title in second leg of Shubhankar Sharma All-India Junior Invitational
Karan Mehto produced the best round of five-under 62 in amateur category at Jaypee Greens Wishtown with Kartik Singh taking home the ‘B’ section title with a round of four-under 63.

Noida: The second stop of the Shubhankar Sharma All-India Junior Invitational Series, staged at Jaypee Greens Wishtown in Noida on August 21, saw participation from more than 90 amateur golfers.
The one-day event was organised under the aegis of the Indian Golf Union (IGU) in 12 different categories from A to E among boys and girls. It is part of a five-city series with the final to be played in Chandigarh. The winners of the final will get an opportunity to play alongside India’s leading professional Shubhankar Sharma in Abu Dhabi later this year.
Arindam Sudan defeated Aaryaveer Khoda on the first playoff hole to take the Category A title after the duo carded two-over 69 each in 18 holes on the par-67 course. In the girls section, Hunar Brar clinched the title after submitting a card of 74.
Karan Mehto scorched the layout to produce the best round of five-under 62 and win the amateur category trophy with a one-stroke win over Bikram Singh. Jia Kocchar took home the girls title carding 74.
Kartik Singh emerged the winner in Category B with a sublime four-under 63 effort, beating Ranveer Mitroo (65) and Bhavesh Nirwan (65) by two shots. Parnika Sharma recorded one-under 66 to win the girls ‘B’ title.
In Category C, Aney Shankkar (73) took home the boys title with a one-stroke win over Chaitanya Pandey (74). Shambhavi Chaturvedi triumphed among the girls after a round of 69.
Shauryaveer Narain (69) clinched the Category D boys title while Aanya Dandriyal (73) won the girls crown.
Category E was played for nine holes with Reyansh Ahlawat (35) emerging the winner. Avviraj Kalia (37) ended runner-up with promising Bhavy Rattan (46) finishing second runner-up. Rehana Malik clinched the girls crown.
