Another schoolgirl dies in Tamil Nadu, fourth case in 2 weeks
This is the fourth case of death of a student in two weeks. In the last two weeks, three girls of class 12th and now a girl of class 11th have died in the state, out of which three deaths have occurred in the last two days.

A Class 11 student in Tamil Nadu was found dead at her home in Sivakasi yesterday. It is suspected that it could be a case of suicide. However, no suicide note has been found so far and the police is investigating the matter. "We won't say anything until the investigation is over," a police officer told NDTV. Giving information, an officer said that the girl often had severe stomach ache. This is the fourth case of death of a student in two weeks. In the last two weeks, three girls of class 12th and now a girl of class 11th have died in the state, out of which three deaths have occurred in the last two days.
Concerned over the repeated deaths, Chief Minister MK Stalin appealed to the girl students to stay away from thoughts of suicide. He said that, "Girls should never be pushed into suicidal thoughts. Turn trials into achievements." He had said that strict action would be taken against those involved in sexual, mental and physical harassment of students.
The incident in Sivakasi happened hours after a Class 12 student was found dead in Cuddalore district. Police Inspector Karthik said that in the four-page suicide note, the Cuddalore student has accused her parents of inability to fulfill her IAS aspirations. On the other hand, a Class 12 student of Sacred Heart Girls Higher Secondary School in Tiruvallur district was found dead in her hostel on Monday. No suicide note was recovered from him.
