Another ASI of Delhi Police killed, accused crushed by car
A case has been registered at Daryaganj police station under IPC sections 279 (rash driving) and 304A (causing death by negligence), police said. The DCP said that the offending white Hyundai i-10 car has been seized and the driver arrested.

In the country's capital Delhi, the incidents of attacks on the police and their killing are continuously increasing. Just a week after the murder of ASI Shambhu Dayal, another ASI was murdered. This time the murder has been done by crushing with the car. However, the police have arrested the accused car driver.
The incident took place on Friday night around 8.30 pm. ASI Lutar Singh's duty was engaged near Shantivan Redlight. During this, he was crushed by a car. He was on duty at the time of the incident. Giving details about the incident, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central) Shweta Chauhan said that 59-year-old SI Latur Singh was posted at Chandni Mahal police station and was on duty at the time of the incident. Singh is survived by his wife and two children, who live in Dayalpur area of the city. Police officer told that SI Lutar Singh was going to retire on January 31.
