Anil Kumble’s glorious cricketing career lauded by ICC
Following the celebration of the best players from all cricket playing nations, the ICC resurrected the leg- spinner's best playing days and shared his stellar numbers and records on Instagram.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) honoured former Indian cricket team captain and leg-spinner Anil Kumble for his outstanding achievements for India, which led to his induction into the ICC Hall of Fame.
The International Cricket Council has unveiled ICC Hall of Fame month on Instagram to honour some of the game's greatest players who have gone down in history of the game as true legends.
Following the celebration of the best players from all cricket playing nations, the ICC resurrected the leg- spinner's best playing days and shared his stellar numbers and records on Instagram.
ICC wrote in their Instagram post, “Next on #ICCHallOfFame we have one of the greatest bowlers of all time, India spinner Anil Kumble. The third-leading wicket-taker in Test cricket.”
Former Sri Lankan cricket team captain Kumar Sangakkara congratulated Kumble and called him an "intense competitor" in a video posted on the ICC website. “Kumble has given me a few sleepless nights,” he added.
Anil Kumble represented India in 132 Tests, taking 619 wickets and 35 five-wicket hauls. He has appeared in 271 One-Day Internationals for Team India, taking 337 wickets.
Kumble is the third highest wicket-taker in Test matches of all-time. He is the man behind Muttiah Muralitharan of Sri Lanka and Shane Warne of Australia.
