Android 15 Expected Features: After a year gap Google is expected to announce the Android 15 at the Google I/O 2024 conference on May 14. As of now, Android has a total of 70 percent market share which makes it the most popular OS across the world.

According to the updates, Android 15 will feature several AI capabilities including the Gemini AI with the core OS along with many exciting features.

Even though developers have had access to Android 15 beta for a while now, Google has kept most of the cool features a secret until I/O 2024. It was released shortly after the talk about AI in the Google I/O keynote.

Google announced Android 14 on February 8, 2023, at the Google I/O 2023 conference which turned out to be pretty impressive.

The Android 15 Beta Program will be available on the vivo X100 in India, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, and Kazakhstan starting May 15, 2024. It will also be available on iQOO 12.

According to the reports, in Android 15 the black navigation bar will be removed you will able to enjoy a full display view making the user experience more alluring. Another report states that Android 15 will have enhanced Near Field Communication(NFC) benefits which will improve tasks like transactions, exchanging digital content, and connecting electronic devices.

Also, A key manager has been added so that apps can use end-to-end encryption at the OS level to keep data safe. The latest version of Android also adds the feature to store apps that haven't been used in a while, thus this will free up space on the OS level for other apps.

As per the reports, android is also said to introduce Braille displays with both wired and wireless modes facility through HID standard.

Also, Android 15 is said to have few AI features to make the user experience smoother, this signifies that not just Pixel and Samsung will have AI features but every phone having Android 15 will be able to use AI.

As per the rumors, Android 15 may feature “Circle to search” which currently is present in only Pixel and flagship Samsung phones.

A new AI feature could also be added to Google's main apps, such as Photos, Docs, and Sheats, but the details are still being kept secret.

Note that these features will be shown off by Google at the I/O 2024 event today, but most people won't be able to use them until the second half of 2024.

It would depend on the phone maker (OEM), some features may not be available at all times.
