Andhra Pradesh CM's sister and YSRTP chief Sharmila on hunger strike in Telangana forcibly admitted to hospital
Sharmila said, "KCR is trying his best to stop my padyatra. My bus was burnt, my people were beaten up and they accused me of violence. Later, they arrested me and took me to Hyderabad. The next day, the court allowed me to continue with the padyatra, but now the police are not allowing me to go ahead."

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's sister and Telangana YSRTP chief YS Sharmila, who was on hunger strike against the Telangana government, was arrested late on Saturday night and admitted to Apollo Hospital in Jubilee Hills. Sharmila was on a hunger strike since Friday morning to protest against the TRS government's denial of permission to hold her Praja Prasthanam padayatra. According to doctors at Apollo Hospital, Sharmila's health is now stable.
Doctors at Apollo Hospital had earlier said that Sharmila's blood pressure and glucose levels had dropped to dangerous levels and expressed concern over her not drinking water. Earlier, on Friday, Sharmila had alleged that despite the court's permission, the police were not allowing her to continue her 'padayatra'. She had said, "I am sitting here on hunger strike and demanding that democracy be protected in Telangana and I be allowed to continue my padyatra."
On 29 November, YS Sharmila's car was taken into custody by the Panjagutta police.
