Yoga Day 2022: Priority will be given to those studying yoga in government jobs

While yoga gives new energy to your body and mind, now it will also create new employment opportunities for you. In this regard, a notification has been issued by the Central Government and it has been said that Yoga has been given the status as a sport. Along with this, it has been said in an order of the Union Home Ministry that from this year meritorious players will get priority in Group C government jobs. 

Since June 21 has been declared as the World Yoga Day, people's awareness has increased not only in India but all over the world. At the same time, employment opportunities have also increased in this sector, yoga has also received a lot of promotion for some time, it has also been promoted a lot, and this is the effect of this that now yoga has emerged as a big employment opportunity. It is coming to the fore, the trend of youth is increasing in this direction, and youth are seeing it as a big career option.

Yoga is our life. Yoga is our India. Our India is contained in Yoga. One who wants to understand Bharat has to be yogic. If you want to serve India by being completely healthy, then there is no doubt that you will have to join yoga. It is just an effort to be yogic that the Government of India has also added yoga to the list of sports. Now in the recruitment of Group C, the subject of meritorious players should be the sum. This memorandum will give wide publicity and dissemination of Yoga in the country.

According to an order of the Union Home Ministry, which has been received dated 01.09.2020 and 29.01.2121 and dated 18th June, 2022, that the Sports Department will add the totals to the list of sports and recruit players in Group C. Yoga will be a compulsory subject. Let us inform that now it has been decided to accept the recommendation of the department. Accordingly, in partial modification of the Office Memorandums of this Department dated 01.09.2020 and 29.01.2021, one more discipline i.e. “Yogasan” is added at number 65 in the list of sports subjects for the recruitment of players. For any Group 'C' post in the Ministries/Departments of the Government of India. All other conditions relating to eligibility, appointment, seniority etc. have been laid down. Timings in O.M. dated 03.10.2013 and other relevant O.M.s as amended from time to time, shall remain unchanged.
