Shree Harivansh Rai Srivastava who wrote classical poems like Kya bhooloon kya yaad karoon, Neerh ka nirmaan phir and Basere se door are the best examples of his brilliance.

Shree Harivansh Rai Srivastava was born on 27 November 1907 in Babupatti, United Provinces of Agra and Oudh, British India in a Hindu Srivastava Kayastha family. Shree Harivansh Rai Srivastava's wife Teji Suri was Born into a Punjabi Sikh Khatri family in Lyallpur, Punjab Province, British India she was a lecturer of English at Allahabad University.
They met when he attended a college event in Lahore. The couple got married in Allahabad in 1941 and upon her wedding, she became a housewife and adopted the name Teji Harivansh Rai Srivastava Bachchan.

Their marriage wasn't an easy road they had to face a lot of problems due to their different cast their family didn't accept their relationship until 1942
Amitabh Bachchan once wrote on his blog "“The caste system in the land has been prevalent for centuries, followed diligently by many and now defied by many too, (it is) an ailment that has plagued our society or not by some. Babuji was born in a Kayasth home and a Srivastav. But his temperament was always against the ailment of caste, his nome de plume, his ‘takhallus’ his pen name he designed as ‘BACHCHAN’,”
When Amitabh was born, and was old enough to go to school, on admission his parents were asked about what surname should they fill up for the boy. After a quick discussion with his wife, Shree Harivansh Rai decided to adopt the surname of Bachchan as he was strongly against the cast system doesn't want his boy to be identified through a caste.
