Weed worth one crore caught: They used to supply in Delhi-NCR by bringing it from Himachal, three smugglers arrested

The Crime Branch of Delhi Police has busted a drug smuggling gang that used to bring ganja from Himachal Pradesh and supply it to Delhi-NCR. Police have arrested three accused including the kingpin of this gang. 1.1 kg ganja of good quality has been recovered from the possession of the accused. The value of seized ganja in the international market is said to be around Rs 1 crore.

According to Crime Branch police officials, ASI Sachin Singh, posted in the team of ACP Arvind Kumar, had received information on August 2 that Ikram was running an organized drug smuggling gang. He imports ganja from Himachal Pradesh. Police team laid siege at Mukarba Chowk, Outer Ring Road. The accused Ashok Kumar alias Lala (59), who came here with the consignment of ganja, was arrested. He was carrying a suitcase in his hand. 1.100 kg of ganja was recovered from the suitcase. He told that he works for Ikram. Ashok calls Ikram in the presence of the police and tells Guddu to give a consignment of weed.

The police team reached Welcome Pulia with Ashok and arrested the accused Guddu (40). 85 thousand rupees, packing materials and other items were recovered from Guddu's house. After interrogating them, the police team reached Bharatpur, Rajasthan railway station and arrested the accused Ikram. He told during interrogation that he was running the gang in an organized manner for a long time. There are many people in his gang and everyone is assigned different tasks. Ambedkar Chaupal, village Bahadurgarh, District Hapur, Gudhmukteshwar, U.P. resident of Mohammad Ikram's father died when he was 13 years old. In the year 2005, he fell into the wrong company and became addicted to taking drugs. Due to heavy losses in the clothing business, it started supplying weed.
