‘We Have Only Paused Retaliation’: PM Modi’s Strong Warning to Pakistan
In an address to nation PM Modi articulated India's military action against Pakistan terror infrastructures on Monday under 'Operation Sindoor'.
‘We Have Only Paused Retaliation’: On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that India had only suspended reprisal, not stopped it against Pakistan's terrorism and military sponsoring bases. Pakistan requested that India ceasefire first.
In thanking the armed forces over the Operation Sindoor, PM Modi stated now every terrorist knows what their obliteration of the vermilion from our daughters' and sisters' foreheads means.
“When Pakistan urged and ensured that they would not act, then India also thought about it ... I will repeat ... we have only so far paused our retaliatory action against the terrorist and military bases of Pakistan... in the coming days, we will test every step of Pakistan to see what role it has adopted,” PM Modi said.

“Terror or talk can't go together, terror and trade cannot go hand-in-hand… water and blood also cannot flow together,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in his address to nation on Monday evening.
On Monday, PM Modi addressed the nation over India's military action against Pakistan's terror foundations and the follow-up to Pakistan's drone and missile attack.
This is PM Modi's first address to the nation since Operation Sindoor.
PM Modi said that to survive, Pakistan will need to destroy its terror foundations.
PM Modi said that talks with Pakistan will take place over Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK) only.
After four days of substantial retaliatory fire between the two countries, India and Pakistan entered into a ceasefire "understanding” on Saturday to immediately stop all firing and military action from land, air and sea.
“Many hideouts belong to terrorists roaming openly in Pakistan… They were plotting against India… India finished them off in one blow… Friends, due to this action of India, Pakistan fell into despair, became furious and in this frustration… Instead of supporting India in its action against terrorists, they started attacking India itself… Our colleges, schools, temples, gurdwaras were made targets…,” PM Modi said.
“Pakistan targeted our military areas... but Pakistan got exposed itself... we hit them in Pakistan's chest... India's drones, missiles hit precisely... the airbases which Pakistan was proud were damaged by India... in three days we destroyed Pakistan beyond their imagination,” PM Modi added.

India-Pakistan ceasefire
Hours after the ceasefire was announced by US President Donald Trump on Saturday, the ceasefire was breached by Pakistan with drones intercepted over different parts of Jammu, Srinagar, Punjab and Rajasthan.
Following Islamabad’s recent military activity disrupting the militarily confrontation that India initiated with Operation Sindoor (with respect to the launching of drones and missiles towards Indian territory) is justified on May 7 where New Delhi engaged nine terror infrastructures on the Pakistan side of the Indo-Pakistan border and also Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (POJK).
Operation Sindoor was launched following the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam on April 22 in which terrorists with links to Pakistan killed 26 civilian.
