Virat Kohli's new record in IPL, became the first batsman to face 5000 balls

This was the 218th match of Virat Kohli's IPL career in which he made this record in his name. Till now no batsman has played so many balls in this league. In IPL, Virat Kohli has faced 5028 balls in 218 matches and has scored 6499 runs in this. He has also scored 5 centuries and 43 half-centuries so far and has a strike rate of 129.26.

Virat Kohli took two catches in the form of Ravindra Jadeja and Dwayne Pretorius during fielding against CSK. With the help of these two catches, he also earned the distinction of becoming the first player for RCB to take 100 catches in this league.
