Vikram Misri Is a Decent, Honest Man Working Tirelessly for the Nation: AIMIM chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi, on Sunday, spoke highly of foreign secretary Vikram Misri as “a decent and an honest, hard working person who works tirelessly for the country”.

With daily government press briefings being held under his able leadership on Operation Sindoor and the follow-ups to military action, foreign secretary Vikram Misri has truly become a household name, together with two women officers, Colonel Sofiya Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh.

“Mr Vikram Misri is a decent and an Honest Hard working Diplomat working tirelessly for our Nation. Our Civil Servants work under the Executive this must be remembered & they shouldn’t be blamed for the decisions taken by The Executive /or any Political leadership running Watan E Aziz,” Asaduddin Owaisi said in his post on X.

According to a statement given on Saturday by Vikram Misri, from 5 pm onwards India and Pakistan had come to a ceasefire ‘understanding’.

In his evening briefing, Vikram Misri said, "Director General of Military Operations of Pakistan called the Director General of Military Operations of India at 1535 hours IST earlier today."

Vikram Misri's press statement followed closely at the heels of the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, making even more noise about the ceasefire understanding via a post on Truth Social. "After a long night of talks mediated by the United States, I am pleased to announce that India and Pakistan have agreed to a FULL AND IMMEDIATE CEASEFIRE," Trump said.

The evening saw Vikram Misri issuing a press statement once again, this time after the ceasefire was violated by Pakistan with the interception of drones over areas of Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, and Rajasthan.
