Uttarakhand News: In Pauri, a bus full of baraatis fell , 25 Killed
The bus fell into a deep gorge near Gwin bridge, about 8 km before Dhumakote. 48 people including 10 children and 16 women were killed in this accident. It was reported that the driver had lost control of the bus.
A bus full of baraatis fell into a ditch near village Simdi near Lansdowne in Pauri district. In this accident, 25 weddings have died. There were 40 baratis in the bus. It was told that this bus was going from Laldhang under Haridwar district towards village Kanda Talla under block Birkhal.
Block head Rajesh Kandari said that the bus fell into the gorge about 350 meters down. He also told that the bus is stuck on the stone. If the bus tries to board, the bus will fall into the river. A team of five doctors from Birokhal health center has been sent to the spot. CM Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed grief over the incident.
Pankaj, a resident of Laldang in the bus, told that at 12 noon on Tuesday, the bus left from Laldhang towards Kanda Malla. Today at around 7 pm, the bus went out of control and fell into the ravine. Pankaj told that 8-10 other people in the bus somehow came out of the pit. He reported the incident to his acquaintances through mobile phone.
In the year 2018, there was a painful accident on July 1 at around 8:15 am. On that day the bus of Garhwal Motors Users Cooperative Society (UK12PA/0159 approx) left from Bamansain (Bhaun) for Ramnagar at 7.15 pm. There were 61 passengers on board including the driver and the operator.
