Uttarakhand: Moradabad police attacked in Uttarakhand, six policemen injured
According to the police, the villagers became the attackers. Gurtaj's wife Gurjit Kaur (28), who was returning home after doing duty in the firing, was shot. He was declared brought dead in the private hospital. SOG constables Rahul Singh, Shiv Kumar, Sumit Rathi, Sangam and Anil Kumar were injured in the firing.
The Moradabad police, who had gone to arrest the mining mafia accused of attacking the SDM on September 13 in Thakurdwara in Kashipur, Uttarakhand, were attacked by the villagers. Six police personnel, including Thakurdwara Kotwal, were badly injured in the attack, while the wife of the eldest deputy chief of Jaspur block died due to bullet injuries. SOG in-charge Ravindra Kumar Singh and another policeman are missing after the attack.
Thakurdwara police had received information that the prize mining mafia police station Dilari, resident of village Kankarkheda, is hiding in the house of Jaspur's senior deputy chief Gurtaj Singh Bhullar in Zafar village Bharatpur. On this information, the police and SOG team led by Thakurdwara Kotwal Yogendra Singh laid siege to Bhullar's farm house on Wednesday evening. Seeing unknown people in plain clothes, the relatives challenged them.

All have been admitted to a private hospital in Moradabad. With this, five policemen had gone missing. Of these, Thakurdwara police station in-charge Yogendra Singh was admitted to the hospital in an injured condition. Two were found safe, two others are still missing. Angry people blocked the NH in front of Kunda police station and filed a case against the police.
