Uttar Pradesh: Yogi Adityanath was sworn in as the Chief Minister for the second term, these ministers make it to the list
After a staggering victory in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections, on Friday, Yogi Adityanath was sworn in as the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh for the second straight term. The splendid ceremony was graced by the likes of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Union home minister Amit Shah, and several Union Ministers.
After a staggering victory in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections, on Friday, Yogi Adityanath was sworn in as the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh for the second straight term. The splendid ceremony was graced by the likes of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Union home minister Amit Shah, and several Union Ministers. The ceremony happened in Lucknow's Ekana Stadium. In the Cabinet Minister's list, 20 Ministers are under the age of 51. The Ministry demonstrates an amalgamation of "Young Drive" and "Experienced Excellence". The average age of the Cabinet Ministry is 53.3 years.
Along with Yogi Adityanath, a few of the prominent ministers of the BJP also took the oath. Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brijesh Pathak were sworn in as Deputy Chief Ministers. The other list of the Cabinet Ministers includes Surya Pratap Shahi, Suresh Kumar Khanna, Swatantra Dev Singh, Baby Rani Maurya, Chaudhary Lakhsmi Narayan, Jaiveer Singh, Dharampal Singh, Nand Gopal Gupta, Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary, Anil Rajbhar, Jitin Prasada, and Rakesh Sachan, Aravind Kumar Sharma, Yogendra Upadhyay, Ashish Patel, and Sanjay Nishad among others.
The Cabinet Ministry includes one Muslim Minister, who is Mohamad Danish Azad Ansari (32), who has been with the BJP since his Student Politics days. Danish has replaced Mohsin Raza, who was a minister in the previous Adityanath government. Many BJP Ministers who were a part of the previous government made it to the list this year as well. The names include Suresh Kumar Khanna, who was the Finance Minister in the last term, Surya Pratap Shahi who held the portfolio as the Agriculture Minister, Chaudhary Laxmi Narayan, who had been the Minister of Animal Husbandry in the last term. Dharmpal Singh also made it to the list who held the portfolio as the Irrigation Minister, Nand Gopal Gupta, Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary, and Jitin Prasada also took oath as ministers. However, their portfolio has not yet been decided.
