Uproar in Dera Sacha Sauda chief Ram Rahim's satsang, police stopped the program
Thousands of devotees including women and children gathered in the program. Children and women were being brainwashed in the satsang, so we opposed it and stopped the satsang program being held without permission.
Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal workers created ruckus and tore banner hoardings during the satsang program of Dera Sacha Sauda chief Ram Rahim in Shahjahanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. Later, the police closed the program for not being able to show the permission letter.Police Officer (City) Akhand Pratap Singh told 'PTI-Bhasha' on Thursday that a satsang program of Dera Sacha Sauda chief Ram Rahim was going on in a marriage lawn located in Roja police station area. He told that Ram Rahim is serving life sentence in a murder case and is currently out on parole.
He told that when VHP and Bajrang Dal workers came to know about Ram Rahim's satsang program, they reached the venue and asked to stop the program and called the police. During this, the workers tore the banners and hoardings of Ram-Rahim installed at the program venue.
Singh told that because a big program was being organized, the police asked the organizer of the program for the permission letter issued by the administration, which the organizer could not show, so the program was stopped immediately. VHP leader Rajesh Awasthi told that when he reached Baba Ram Rahim's satsang with the workers, a large number of girl students were found there. In 2017, Ram Rahim, the chief of Dera Sacha Sauda, was sentenced to 20 years for raping his disciples. Also, life imprisonment in the murder case of a journalist two years ago and on October 18, 2021, a special CBI court in Panchkula has also sentenced him to life imprisonment in the murder case of Ranjit Singh.
