UP: Police brutality in Kanpur, man with child in his arms beaten with sticks

A shocking video of police brutality has surfaced from Kanpur Dehat, Uttar Pradesh. In the video, a policeman is seen brutally thrashing a man holding a child in his arms.

In this video of about two minutes long, it can be seen that several policemen are first beating a person. After that, he makes her sit in the car. After this, a policeman runs sticks on the person carrying the child with a stick. In the video, voices of people can be heard from behind, who are saying that "the child will lag."

When the person tries to run away, the policeman drags the person towards the police vehicle. After this, the policeman tries to forcibly drag the child. The baby can be seen crying in the video.After the video went viral, the police admitted in a statement that 'mild force' was used. Kanpur Dehat Police said that such behavior by the police is not acceptable and ADG Zone Kanpur has been directed to investigate the matter and take appropriate action against the guilty policemen.
