UP Family Chooses Bulldozers Over Luxury Cars for Bride’s Bidaai: Indian weddings are renowned for extravagant celebration and eccentric traditions. The unusual procession
According to a report by NDTV, Karishma, Rahul Yadav, the youngest son of Munni Lal Yadav from Azad Nagar, had planned to make her way to her new house in an SUV on Thursday. Routine work, one would say but suddenly, almost a dozen bulldozers entered the wedding procession.
At first, the bystanders were shocked; they sensed government intervention, as bulldozers have, in recent time, have come to symbolize Yogi Adityanath government action on illegal properties. But when they realized that the bulldozers were part of the wedding celebration, the shock gave way to excitement, and all began shooting videos.
As clips flowed across social media, the wedding came to be quickly termed the "bulldozer wedding."

Ramkumar, the groom's uncle, shared some details about the send-off, which NDTV Josh has cited as being different in every sense. "These are Babaji's bulldozers and we thought of doing a different kind of 'bidaai' with them, which will look good and different. I am very happy. People traditionally use cars and helicopters, but we used bulldozers because, by the grace of god, we own some JCBs."
The groom Rahul quite liked it too. "We decided to do this thinking that people will like it. The bulldozer is very popular in Uttar Pradesh."
So did the bride Karishma. She was in full support of the entire idea of this 'different' bidaai.
This wasn't the first time an Indian wedding has been reported for its eccentric means of transportation: earlier this week, a helicopter pick-up was arranged in Vaishali, Bihar to bring in the couple from Patna.
