UP Elections : Anurag Thakur welcomes former IPS officer who joined BJP recently
A former IPS officer is associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party. On Sunday, former Kanpur Police Commissioner Aseem Arun joined the BJP in Lucknow. Arun, a 1994 batch IPS officer, had resigned earlier this month to join politics.

Arun, a 1994 batch IPS officer, had resigned earlier this month to join politics. Union Minister Anurag Thakur and State President Swatantra Dev Singh were present while giving Arun the membership of the party and also welcomed him in the party.
On joining the former IPS BJP, the state president said, IPS Asim Arun, the son of former DGP, who fought for an honest image, Dalit, deprived, exploited should not be exploited, has been working for public interest. He served in many responsible positions from country to state and stood firm with full devotion and dedication.
