On the reports of cyber attacks on the country's power system by China in the past, the Indian government has said that it has all the security arrangements so that not only the power sector but any other important infrastructure facilities can be saved. On Thursday, along with Union Power Minister RK Singh, the Ministry of External Affairs has also assured the countrymen about this.
The assurance comes after a report by Recorded Future, a private cyber attack monitoring agency, claimed that hackers from China carried out cyber attacks to disrupt power supply in several states of India. It has also been said that some government departments of China were involved in this attack. China's Foreign Ministry has dismissed these allegations as completely baseless. The Power Minister said that the security system is already working and efforts are also being made to strengthen it continuously.
RK Singh said that there is no problem of electricity in the country. According to the demand of the states, electricity is being given to them. The only problem is that the states should have money to buy power. The states can buy as much power as they want. But if the states do not have money, then the power ministry cannot do anything about it.
