Under NEP 2020, report card will be redesigned: Education Minister
The Union Minister for Education Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has said that under the New Education Policy 2020, the report of the students will be redesigned so that it will not only reflect the marks that a student scores but his uniqueness as well.

The Union Cabinet Minister for Education tweeted a video along with a message, “Under #NEP2020, report card of all #students will be completely redesigned to reflect the progress as well as the uniqueness of each learner. Watch the video to know more! #NEPTransformingIndia.”
The video aims at developing an understanding to the viewers for the National Education Policy 2020 which ensures transforming assessment for student development at all levels in schools in the country.
It says that the schools' assessment will test skills such as critical thinking and conceptual clarity and accordingly the report card of students will be redesigned.
According to the Union Ministry of Education, the report card will be the Holistic Progress Report Card which will give not only the academic performance of the students but his other qualities as well.
The Education Ministry aims at making the report card a holistic, 360-degree, multidimensional report of students.
“The report card will reflect the progress as well as the uniqueness of each learner,” one of the messages in the video reads.
At present, the students’ report card only give marks or grades which reflect their assessments in academic activities.
It also says that parents will be actively involved in their children’s holistic education and development.
