Travelling to India? Follow these guidelines else you will be denied boarding
If international passengers are not following these guidelines, they will not be allowed to board the flights for India
The Ministry of Home Affairs has issued some important guidelines for international passengers who are coming to India. If air passengers don’t follow these guidelines, they will not be allowed to board the flight.
The first and foremost thing an air passenger has to do is to carry a negative RT-PCR test report, which should have been conducted within 72 hours of the flight.
“All passengers will have to fill in the self-declaration form in the online Air Suvidha portal (newdelhiairport.in) and need to upload their negative RT-PCR test report prior to scheduled departure,” a Twitter post from Air India informed.
Besides uploading the report, the air traveller must carry the original negative RT-PCR test along with the printout of the Self-Declaration/PCR updation done on Air Suvidha at the time of checking in for the flight.
National Informatics Centre under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has developed an application Aarogya Setu. It is a digital device that can track Covid-19 patients and give an alert to other users.
All the international passengers coming to India are required to download the Aarogay Setu application on their mobile phones and keep them in active mode.
“Please note that failure to comply with the above mandatory rules may lead to denied boarding,” Air India informs in a tweet.
The aviation watchdog, Directorate General of Civil Aviation, has extended the suspension of international commercial passenger flight till March 31.
With special arrangement with select countries, commercial passenger flights are allowed to arrive in India. Under similar arrangements flights from India are also going to those countries.
