This Bangalore Doctor Ran 3 Km Amidst Heavy Traffic To Reach For A Patient's Surgery On Time
Dr. Govind Nandakumar, who resides in Central Bengaluru, was delayed to a surgery due to traffic and he did not think twice. He left his car on the road and ran three km to save the life of the female patient.
In Bangalore, the doctor took such a step to save the life of his patient, which has become an example for others. This doctor is Dr. Govind Nandakumar, Surgeon of Gastroenterology at Manipal Hospital. Those who were on their way to undergo an urgent laparoscopic gallbladder surgery on August 30, but got stuck in a jam on Sarjapur-Marathalli.
Dr. Nandakumar, seeing the traffic, thought that being late could endanger the life of the woman, so he left the car there and ran for three kilometers to the hospital for surgery. Its video is now going viral. Dr. Govind Nandakumar, who resides in Central Bengaluru, was delayed to a surgery due to traffic and he did not think twice. Dr. Nand Kumar told that he travels daily from Central Bangalore to Manipal Hospital, Sarjapur. That day also he left the house before time. His team was fully prepared for the surgery. Seeing the heavy traffic, he decided to leave the car with the driver and without hesitation drove towards the hospital.
Dr. Sudhakar K, Minister for Health & Family Welfare and Medical Education, Govt of Karnataka, wrote, "It is people like Dr.Govind Nandakumar who make medicine a noble profession. Namma Bengaluru has been a 'Pillow of Comfort' for everyone who embrace it for their education or livelihood. Let's not make it a 'Punching Bag' when we fight the vagaries of nature & rapid urbanisation."
