The Ministry of External Affairs has confirmed this news. The Foreign Ministry said that an Indian student lost his life in the shelling in Kharkiv, Ukraine on Tuesday morning. Naveen Shekharappa, a student of Karnataka's Haveri district, who was studying in the fourth year of MBBS, died.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said that we express our deepest condolences to the family. The Ministry of External Affairs is in touch with the family of the student.
Bagchi stated that Foreign Secretary is again demanding immediate safe passage for Indian citizens from the ambassadors of Russia and Ukraine who are still in Kharkiv and other conflict zones.
Similar action is also being taken by our ambassadors in Russia and Ukraine , bagchi stated.
