Tata Institute asks its Employees to avoid anti-government posts on social media, family members also asked to refrain
Recently, the registrar of Mumbai’s Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) asked its employees and their families to not upload content that might be deemed “anti-government”.
Recently, the registrar of Mumbai’s Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) asked its employees and their families to not upload content that might be deemed “anti-government”. The Registrar is retired Wing Commander George Antony, who penned the letter effective the 13th of April. The Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) has said that the staff of the institute is requested to refrain from uploading on social media any photos or videos belonging to the institute or of any government property.
Not only this, the institute has said that it will also apply to their families. This has been advised in the circular issued on April 13. TIFR is a national center of the Union government which functions under the umbrella of the Department of Atomic Energy. It is also a deemed university and undertakes research in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Computer Sciences, and Science Education.
The Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) issued a circular stating that the staff members of the institute are requested to refrain from uploading on social media any photo or video relating to the institute, field stations, residential property, or any other government property. The staff members are further informed to refrain from uploading any anti-government material on social media. Family members should also be made aware of this.
