Sunrisers Hyderabad Break Records with Highest IPL Total Yet Again: In this edition of the Indian Premier League, Sunrisers Hyderabad have become accustomed to setting records as they reached a record 287/3 on Monday, bettering their own record of 277.
Nepal's 314/3 against Mongolia during the Hangzhou Asian Games stands as the second-highest total in T20 cricket.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru invited SRH to bat first, and SRH surpassed their previous score achieved last month with opener Travis Head's 102 off 41 deliveries.
In 7.1 overs, SRH raced to 100 without losing a wicket as Head led a dominant display of timing as he effortlessly soared the ball off his bat.
Abhishek also quickly joined the onslaught before being dismissed for a solid 34. But Head did not show any signs of slowing down, reaching a remarkable 102 before finishing the match.
Following a pitch assessment in the first over, Head and Abhishek Sharma wasted no time in unleashing their aggression on the RCB bowlers.
Heinrich Klaasen continued the onslaught, hitting a half-century off just 23 balls to keep the scoring rate high.
Aiden Markram too didn't sit back and helped his side surpass 277, a mark they set just a few games ago, after Abdul Samad struck a quickfire 37 off 10-ball cameo after his departure.
A record-breaking 22 sixes were hit by SRH in their IPL innings, surpassing RCB's previous record of 21 set against Pune Warriors India in 2013.
