Irani is the person who approached Fatehi for a gift on Chandrashekhar's instructions. She was called last year to attend an event at a studio in Chennai owned by Chandrashekhar's wife Leena Maria. During interrogation, Mehboob has today identified Pinky Irani.
Sources said that Pinky Irani's code word was 'Angel'. She introduced herself to Nora under the name Angel Code. EOW officials said she often neglected Chandrashekhar as she repeatedly tried to contact her through Irani.
