Strict action in UP, more than 45 thousand illegal loudspeakers removed so far
UP Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Prashant Kumar said that so far 45773 loudspeakers have been removed from religious places.
The administration has taken a tough stand against illegal loudspeakers in Uttar Pradesh. In this episode, fast action is being taken against illegal loudspeakers across the state. Till Saturday, more than 45 thousand loudspeakers have been removed from various religious places in UP.
At the same time, the sound of 58,861 loudspeakers has been slowed down. Of these, the speakers which were found to be more than the sound standards, have been removed.
The administration says that loudspeakers are being removed from all religious places without any discrimination. Earlier till Thursday, a total of 21,963 loudspeakers were removed and 42,332 loudspeakers have been slowed down. The loudspeakers that are being removed in UP are all unauthorized.
CM Yogi had said that everyone has the freedom to worship and offer prayers according to their own religious belief, but the sound of loudspeakers should not go outside the premises so that other people do not face any problem. Action on illegal loudspeakers is going on in the state only after this decision.
The state home department has sought a status report on the action taken to remove illegally installed loudspeakers on April 30. Earlier, on behalf of the Home Department, the local officials have spoken to about 30 thousand heads of different religions.
