Stock Market: Sensex falls by more than 1421 points, Nifty falls by 2.23%
On Monday, the first trading day of the week, there was a huge fall in the stock market. As soon as the market opened in the morning, there was a ruckus. The Sensex opened at 56,720.32 in the morning, which was much lower than the previous close of 58,152.92 points.

By the time the news was written at around 9:30, the shares of 29 companies of BSC's 30-share index Sensex were trading with red mark while only TCS was the only stock which was seen trading on the green. It saw a decline of 1421 points.
During this, the biggest pressure was seen on the shares of banks. Mahindra & Mahindra Bank was seen trading with the highest losses. TCS was trading on the green with (3773.40 or 2.11%) while SBI (507.35 or -4.15%) was trading on the red side. Apart from this, Mahindra & Mahindra Bank, ICICI Bank were also seen trading in deficit.
The Nifty opened at 17,076.15 in the morning, after which it was also recorded at the lowest level of 16,916.55 points. At the time of writing the news, it was trading at 16,986.55, down 388.20 points or 2.23 per cent. SBI and Mahindra & Mahindra Bank were seen trading in losses here too. TCS was trading profitably here as well.
