Sreeleela Pulled Into Crowd During Event, Fans Slam ‘Manhandling’, Kartik Aaryan Unaware

Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela have been casting for Anurag Basu's film, which does not yet have a title. Recently, Sreeleela had an incident where an overzealous mob forcibly dragged her into a crowd, unbeknownst to Kartik. Her team managed to intervene just in time to prevent Sreeleela from being dragged even further away.

Sreeleela forcibly pulled by fan

A video posted by a paparazzo account on Sunday shows Sreeleela and Kartik walking with their crew through a crowd. Barely keeping up, Sreeleela walked behind Kartik when a fan pulled her into the crowd, who was unaware as he continued to walk ahead.

Her team intervened just in time to pull her back again before she could get dragged further into the crowd. Although shaken, Sreeleela managed to keep her good cheer while conversing with her team. By that time, Kartik had turned to look back at the ruckus, but his expression suggested he had no idea what had happened. There was no mention of when or where this was shot.

As soon as the video went viral over Instagram and X (formerly Twitter), people started worrying for her safety. One fan shared the video on X, writing, “Manhandling actresses in public places has to stop tf #Sreeleela.” Another wrote, “Truly scary..how unsafe for anyone.”

An X user pointed out, “This is scary, the way Sreeleela got dragged is so unsafe. The Bouncers should have protected her better. Even normal girls can’t walk in such crowded situations, she is a famous actress.”

One person blamed Kartik for not noticing, “the superstar walking ahead didn't do anything.” Another took to some quite lively waters suggesting that had Sreeleela been in Kartik's place, another co-star of hers, Balakrishna, would have taught the pandemonium a lesson, he would’ve slapped the fan, “Balayya akkada undi unte antha Payalungalaa dabbidi dibidee (If Balakrishna were there, he would’ve slapped the fan).”

Kartik and Sreeleela are shooting for the movie in Gangtok and Darjeeling. It is all set for a theatrical release this Diwali.
